About Me

I’m a UX designer with almost three years of experience at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. I specialise in design, user research and design system development for respiratory medical devices with mobile and tablet-sized touch displays. Additionally, I’ve worked on features for FPH web applications and the corporate website.

Before my career as a UX designer, I graduated from architecture after five years of education, followed by four years of professional experience working on award-winning projects such as the Auckland High Court refurbishment, the Karearea house and the Aotea Performance Centre refurbishment.

I transitioned to UX design because I was drawn to the user-centred design philosophy and the ability to make a widespread positive impact on people and the environment. My design training in architecture prepared me tremendously for this career transition. I believe the qualities of a successful designer aren’t just their subject knowledge but mostly their ability to be analytical, detail-oriented, open-minded, holistic-minded and a keen learner – all qualities I strive to follow.

I love exploring new countries outside of work. One of my favourite travel memories was backpacking in the Americas and volunteering to build schools in Peru.
